This role has a strong focus on CDM (Construction, Design and Management) Regulations, supporting clients with construction-related health and safety compliance, while also covering broader H&S consultancy work.
Experience or a qualification in Fire Safety would be a useful addition.
You will not be the typical safety police.
You will be a problem-solver with a creative mindset, someone clients genuinely enjoy seeing - inspiring others rather than being feared.
You will help clients understand that well-developed safety systems are a business benefit, not a business cost.
Purpose of the Role
Supporting clients across a range of sectors, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding H&S consultancy service - with a particular focus on CDM compliance - offering expert advice and guidance to help clients manage and reduce health and safety risks in their workplaces, while providing best-practice support to improve internal H&S processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact on CDM compliance, advising Clients, Principal Designers and Principal Contractors on their duties under the CDM Regulations 2015.

- Provide onsite or remote H&S management and consultancy support.
- Develop and implement bespoke health and safety processes and procedures that comply with current UK legislation and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice to clients on risk assessments, accident investigations, compliance and emergency planning.
- Deliver health and safety awareness programmes to promote a strong safety culture within client organisations.
- Assist clients in achieving relevant health and safety certifications such as ISO 45001.
- Successfully build and manage client relationships to promote the organisation and encourage new business opportunities.
- Ensure consistent delivery of standards across all clients, projects and offices.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in Health & Safety with a proven track record of delivering high-quality advice and support.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with outstanding attention to detail.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Project.
- Ability to work autonomously and flexibly in response to business needs.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the South East when required.
- Understanding of a variety of working cultures, professions, businesses and industries.
Qualifications Required
Essential
- Strong working knowledge of the CDM (Construction, Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Desirable
- NEBOSH Award in Fire Safety or equivalent. Our client is open to sponsoring the right candidate to achieve this qualification.
- Candidate Attributes
- A creative, inspiring approach - solutions-focused, not compliance-policing.
- Ability to build genuine rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of a variety of working cultures, professions and industries.
Why Apply?
This is an immediate opening for a professional who thrives working autonomously and flexibly within a growing, innovative business.
