Are you a skilled Electrical CAD Technician or Junior Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? In this pivotal position, you will take ownership of large-scale electrical design schemes, moving projects from initial concept through to final approval while supporting the delivery of vital infrastructure projects nationwide.
The Role
- Producing detailed electrical design drawings, engineering reports, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Leading and managing electrical design projects from initial brief through to full completion.
- Reviewing and checking LV and HV network designs created by other team members.
- Managing electrical Points of Connection (POCs) and submitting designs to DNOs and IDNOs.
- Liaising directly with third-party network owners and distribution network operators.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior members of the design team.
- Coordinating design progress meetings and allocating workloads effectively across the team.
What Youll Bring
We are seeking a proactive technical professional with a solid background in electrical or utility design. To excel in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience producing electrical designs within the utilities, power distribution, or infrastructure sector.
- Proficiency with CAD software and experience completing electrical network studies utilising tools such as WinDebut or VisNet.
- Relevant electrical qualifications suited to the level of the role.
