The Role & Opportunity
This is a high-impact commercial position designed for an established sales professional or business developer who understands the complexities of heavy marine and energy infrastructure. You will take ownership of identifying, pitching, and closing major service contracts on a global scale. Operating from the Kettering office, you will transition into managing key international accounts, travelling worldwide to meet face-to-face with decision-makers, attend major industry exhibitions, and secure large-scale asset protection projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new commercial growth by identifying and securing high-value contracts across the global marine, oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with global asset owners, shipyard directors, and Tier 1 contractors.
- Collaborate closely with internal technical and engineering teams to align specialised maintenance and cleaning scopes with client specifications.
- Lead high-level commercial negotiations, presentations, and contract tenders.
- Undertake international travel to conduct client briefings, manage key regional accounts (including expanding markets in Asia), and represent the brand globally.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Solid experience in commercial sales, account management, or business development within marine, offshore energy, oil and gas, or heavy industrial maintenance sectors.
- Technical Credibility: A strong technical understanding of industrial services such as fabric maintenance, coatings, tank cleaning, insulation, or asset protection.
- Commercial Acumen: Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of hitting and exceeding high revenue targets.
- International Vision: Experience or familiarity with global sales dynamics and the willingness to travel internationally to secure major contracts.
