We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our fantastic team at a 50 bedroom wedding & conference venue located in 14 acres of grounds in the Surrey Hills. We are looking for a proactive lead to drive commercial performance across sales, events, and revenue functions. The position is a fixed term contract for 15 months working 40 hours per week and is based at the hotel. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in a premium hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while maximising revenue.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with Sales & Marketing leadership, you will take overall responsibility for the hotel's Sales function, ensuring delivery of the business objectives and strategic growth plans. You will lead and manage a team including:
- Marketing Co-Ordinator
- Revenue support
- Wedding & Events Assistant Manager
- Wedding Co-Ordinator
- Senior Conference Co-Ordinator
Your focus will be on developing talent, driving performance, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual sales plans aligned with hotel objectives and budget
- Drive total revenue across all market segments, including corporate, groups, weddings, and events
- Identify and secure new business while nurturing key accounts
- Oversee pricing strategy, forecasting, and performance reporting in partnership with Revenue support
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and client functions
- Manage sales budgets in line with business expectations
- Ensure brand consistency, campaign execution, and strong online reputation management
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to adapt strategy accordingly
- Champion a guest-centric culture and uphold core company values
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Sales Manager within hospitality (ideally hotels)
- Proven leadership experience managing commercial teams
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth
- Excellent communication, presentation, and management skills
- Solid understanding of marketing tools and digital platforms
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to work to deadlines
