A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a rapidly expanding, modern, mid-sized legal firm in the Essex/East London area. Applicants will have previous experience as an HR Manager ideally in the legal industry but the firm would consider someone with an accountancy background, having a good understanding of the intricacies of running a successful legal practice.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing Business Support Services recruitment and selection
- Contract compliance and relevant paperwork (ID, proof of address, right to work etc.) and onboarding process of all new employees
- All HR and new employee onboarding document production
- General office inductions and H&S office tours for all new employees
- Organising Risk and compliance, GDPR and IT inductions with compliance and IT heads for all new employees
- Recording probationary period dates and advising line managers when to meet
- Guiding Managers with staff issues
- Assisting in the firm's yearly appraisal process
- Monitoring aspects of Employee performance in respect of attendance records, sick leave/absences
- Processing all sickness and absence forms (including payroll liaison), and arranging and dealing with Return to Work interviews
