Global Insurance in the City of London is seeking to recruit a Senior Treaty Claims specialist for their expanding team.
Responsibilities:
- North American Property and/or Casualty experience.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of insurance and/or reinsurance business.
- Treaty knowledge, and experience of industry standard reinsurance concepts, principles, laws, regulatory requirements, and general business trends.
- Track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement, and development.
- Strong verbal and writing skills for the communication of complex claims issues, presentations, and negotiations with clients, markets, and GC colleagues at all levels.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the reinsurance transaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate inclusive collaboration with peers on complex or contentious reinsurance developments.
- Support and provide training, coaching, and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service provision and problem solving.
- Ensure assigned tasks are managed effectively, with clear and concise communication of progress and in a timely manner to all relevant stakeholders.
- Promote new process improvement ideas leveraging technology solutions and value-added product solutions.
- Participate in team and department meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, and knowledge.
- Maintain strong working relationships and participate in initiatives and/or contribute where required to deliver outcomes.
- Seek opportunities to increase own understanding and improve the services provided.
- Develop and deliver technical training on a range of reinsurance matters affecting today’s business, including but not limited to claims and contract specific issues and forward-thinking potential risks.
