Production Operatives are responsible for working on any of their 4 production lines as part of the team that ensures the line produces the target output and to the high quality they are known for producing. You will be expected to inspect each product being produced and raise any concerns with their Team Leader and Supervisor. Once all of the necessary training has been given, as a Production Operative you will also be expected to operate the machinery on the lines and, over time, become competent at setting and running the production line. Excellent timekeeping and attendance are essential in this role to ensure that the lines run smoothly and efficiently.
Shifts and Hours: Monday to Thursday from 3 pm till 1 am
Pay: £12.21 p/h
The core responsibilities for the role are:
- Ensure safe work and understand the risk assessments associated with the tasks undertaken on the line.
- Highlight any potential hazards and unsafe working to management.
- Understand the quality levels expected and ensure the product being produced meets requirements.
- Operate all machinery on the line, notably having the ability to set a Weinig moulder.
- Play a big part in the team that is expected to achieve a specific Line output target.
- Ability to contribute to the changeovers on the line.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Ideal experience and skills for this role:
- Previous experience of working in a factory environment.
- Previous experience running production lines.
- Previous experience setting a Weinig moulder or similar machine.
- Previous experience working with MDF mouldings.
