Recruit is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known client, a Leigh based manufacturer of promotional merchandise. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable person to join their busy team in a textile/embroidery department as an Embroidery Machine Operator.
You’ll be working on a Happy Japan embroidery machine. Experience in operating this kind of machine would be a bonus, but full training can be provided. Please note, training can only be provided on the day shift, therefore for the first 6-12 weeks (depending on progress) you will be working on the day shift 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Work days and Hours:
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 18:00 to 02:00 am
Pay Rate:
- Day Shift: £12.71 p/h
- Night Shift: £13.27 p/h
Responsibilities:
- Setting up machines
- Applying frames to clothing, hats, gloves, bags
- Changing needles and thread colours on the machine
- Quality check of the finished products
- Keeping work area clean and tidy
- Using your own initiative and problem-solving when needed
- Packing/unpacking
- Lifting of boxes
- General warehouse duties
