We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of a well-established pallet and general haulage company based in Dartford.
Start Time: 06:00 am Monday to Friday
Minimum Pay: 8 hours guaranteed (average 10-hour day)
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour (PAYE)
The Role:
- Multi-drop pallet deliveries and collections
- 10-12 drops per day
- Driving curtain side or box vehicles with tail lift
- Loading/unloading using pump truck provided
- Deliveries to both businesses and residential addresses
- Some kerbside deliveries required
Driver Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) Licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tacho Card
- Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience preferred
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- No DR or IN convictions
- Good customer service skills
- Smart, professional, and reliable attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle checks at start and end of shift
- Ensure loads are secure and safe for transport
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules
- Adhere to Drivers' Hours and WTD regulations
- Report any issues promptly
- Operate pump truck and tail lift safely
- Work alongside forklift operations at delivery sites when required
