About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Small Works Estimator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to develop their career within the construction industry. Working closely with the project and commercial teams, you will be responsible for preparing costings and quotations for a variety of small works projects. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes. Whilst previous estimating experience would be advantageous, we are equally interested in candidates who have a strong numerical background, excellent computer skills and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate costings and quotations for small works projects.
  • Review project requirements and compile pricing information.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing where required.
  • Maintain quotation records and supporting documentation.
  • Support the project and commercial teams with administrative and costing activities.
  • Communicate with customers via email and telephone regarding quotations and project enquiries.
  • Update and maintain internal spreadsheets, databases and reporting systems.
  • Ensure quotations are produced accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.
  • Occasionally attend site visits alongside members of the project team.

  • Previous experience preparing quotations, estimates, costings or commercial administration.
