If you like ownership and you’re comfortable working across different markets without everything being handed to you, this will suit you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the HR point of contact across the UK, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, system updates, and employment changes
  • Own onboarding and local orientation, making sure new hires actually have a good start
  • Manage offboarding and exit processes across all countries in scope
  • Handle benefits enrolment, including pensions and insurance schemes
  • Support rollout and review of benefits alongside Total Rewards
  • Partner with Payroll to manage leave and absence processes, including parental leave
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee and manager queries, covering policies, benefits, and employment setups
  • Provide guidance on local labour law and employee relations, working with Legal where needed
  • Support audits, compliance activities, health and safety, and mandatory reporting
  • Challenge proposals from the business where needed, offering practical, compliant solutions
  • Support expansion into new markets, including entity setup, store openings, and acquisitions
  • Improve HR operations processes, aligning local execution with global frameworks
  • Own and deliver regional HR projects, while contributing to global initiatives
  • Continuously look for ways to improve how HR operates across countries
  • Act as a point of contact for local authorities, including tax and social security bodies

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in HR operations or people ops, ideally in a scale-up or multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of labour law and compliance in at least one of the markets (UK or Nordics)

  • Hands-on approach, you’re comfortable owning processes end-to-end
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday preferred)
  • Strong Excel and Google Suite skills
  • Solid stakeholder management, you can support and push back when needed
  • High attention to detail and confidence handling sensitive information
  • Fluent in English, additional Nordic languages are useful but not essential
  • Experience in retail, labour relations, or project delivery is a plus

Why This Role:

This is not a passive HR role. You’ll be close to the business, working across multiple countries, and helping shape how HR operations scale properly. If you want variety, ownership, and a bit of complexity rather than a neat, predictable role, this is it.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the chance to extend. If this sounds like you, apply here or message me directly. Let’s chat!
