Reception Manager
The Reach at Piccadilly, Manchester – a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
£32,000 per annum | Full-Time, Permanent

Big Personality Wanted. Bigger Welcome Expected.

At The Reach at Piccadilly, we do things with personality. We’re part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio — unique, independent, and proud to represent the very best of Manchester hospitality.

We’re also one of the city’s newest hotels — just eleven months old — and already making a name for ourselves, with exceptional guest feedback and a #7 ranking on TripAdvisor in Manchester. It’s an exciting time to join us as we build something brilliant.

Right now, we’re looking for a Reception Manager with confidence, warmth, and a natural flair for making people feel at home. This is a key leadership role — not just about managing a desk, but about inspiring a team, shaping the guest journey, and being a familiar face that guests and colleagues genuinely enjoy seeing.

The Role
You’ll be leading our reception operation day to day, with three Guest Services Supervisors reporting into you. Together, you’ll create a smooth, welcoming experience from arrival to departure. You’ll also report directly to Adelina, our Head of Guest Experience, who’s passionate about service done right — and about developing leaders who want to make their mark.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading by example — setting the tone, pace, and personality for our front desk team.

  • Coaching and supporting your supervisors to thrive in their roles.

  • Creating a consistent and memorable welcome for every guest.

  • Handling guest queries and feedback with warmth, empathy, and action.

  • Collaborating across departments to make sure everything works in sync.

What We’re Looking For

  • A big personality — someone confident, outgoing, and genuinely guest-focused.

  • Prior experience in a reception or front office leadership role.

  • Strong leadership skills with a natural ability to motivate and guide a team.

  • Calm, capable, and solution-focused — especially when things get busy.

  • Familiar with hotel systems (like PMS) and confident with admin and reporting.

  • A team player who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

What You’ll Get

  • £32,000 salary and the chance to grow with Lighthouse Hotel Management.

  • Discounted stays and F&B across our hotel portfolio.

  • Holiday allowance and access to tailored training and development.

  • A place in a team that’s fun, supportive, and full of personality.

  • The opportunity to help shape a young, ambitious hotel with momentum.

Let’s Talk
If you’re looking for a role in a hotel that’s going places — with amazing guest feedback, a top-10 TripAdvisor ranking, and a chance to be part of its story from the start — we’d love to hear from you.
