Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, tidy, and well‑stocked throughout service periods.
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as required.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling responsibly, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance needs immediately.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Support the team during busy periods by maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking the quality and quantity of stock.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a similar role within the catering and hospitality industry is desirable but not essential.
