About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be an essential member of our catering team, supporting chefs and kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency in the kitchen. Your contribution will help us deliver outstanding dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment promptly and efficiently.
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen floors, work surfaces, and walls to meet hygiene standards.
- Assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as required.
- Managing waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock is organised and rotated appropriately.
- Reporting any equipment faults or hazards to the kitchen supervisor immediately.
- Adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene standards at all times.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and keen to contribute to a busy kitchen environment. Although previous experience as a Kitchen Porter is advantageous, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
Essential Qualifications and Attributes
- Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
