We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Food and Beverage Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott - Luton Airport.
As the Food Beverage Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and motivating the Food and Beverage Team to provide great quality service to all of our guests and excel in meeting the hotel's targets and goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervision and Employee Relations: Working closely with the F&B supervisors, you will oversee the F&B team and the daily operations, motivating and coaching all the individuals in providing an extraordinary experience for our guests. Your excellent leadership skills will guide and support the team in thriving in their role through regular catch ups, appraisals and further development in their roles.
- Collaboration: You'll collaborate closely with various in‑house teams, including kitchen, reception, and reservations, to ensure seamless guest experiences. Your excellent teamwork skills will foster a harmonious work environment, where everyone works together to create an exceptional stay for our guests.
- Data Management: With your exceptional data analysis and report writing skills, you will be able to highlight trends around profit, targets and overall customer satisfaction. Delivering your findings at the monthly board meetings, you will be able to identify where costs can be limited and profits maximised, while continuing our high quality meal and beverage experiences.
- Compliance: In line with legislation and the hotel's policies and procedures, you will understand, implement and deliver the highest standards of legal compliance to your team with regards to food safety, food hygiene and food allergens. Limiting possible cross‑contamination and risk to our staff and guests catering to all cuisine needs and wants.
- External Relationships: You will build and maintain external relationships with suppliers and competitors to monitor and research best prices, produce and product at the best price allowing you to continuously improve our already exceptional dining experience.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Restaurant / Bar Manager, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Show drive and passion in coaching and developing your team.
- Demonstrate a "can do" and customer focused attitude with the ability to anticipate customer needs.
- Have the ability to plan, prioritize and excel in a fast‑paced environment.
- Be highly literate in computer technology with the ability to write reports and manage and analyse data.
