RGP are looking for a Part 3 Architectural Assistant who is RIBA part 1 and 2 qualified and actively studying their Part 3 - with Revit skills to work on retail, industrial and mixed use commercial projects. We are a well-established medium-sized London-based practice, with a varied portfolio of work across a diverse range of commercial sectors. We are a close friendly team of hands-on Directors, Architects and skilled Technicians.
Your role will involve you working on projects from start to finish, including preparing drawings and specifications, working collaboratively with a project leader.
Roles & Responsibilities- Working on numerous projects at all stages from inception to completion
- Assisting with the preparation of designs and planning applications, and applications for building regulation consent
- Ensuring CDM requirements are satisfied
- Assisting with the preparation of detailed designs, working drawings and NBS specifications
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the latest statutory building legislation
- Working within a small team as projects require
- Reporting to the project leader
- Some projects are outside of London and will require travel.
- RIBA Part I & 2 Qualified
- Good Design and presentational skills
- An understanding of working on commercial building
- An understanding of contemporary new and refurbishment design and build projects
- An understanding of RIBA work stages
- Able to demonstrate a practical approach to construction detailing
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations
- Good IT skills and working knowledge of Office 365, NBS Chorus and AutoCad/Revit, Microstation skills would be advantageous.
- Have a friendly approach and a willingness to work as a team player.
- A willingness to absorb our culture and extend your skills whilst bringing fresh ideas and experience to our practice making a difference and contributing towards your career progression
- Applicants must be based in the UK and be able to show evidence of eligibility to work in the UK
- A driving license would be advantageous
Our office is located close to Grays Inn Square and Holborn/Chancery Lane tube stations. Salary subject to experience.
