Join The Rank Group Plc as an In-House Solicitor, where your expertise in employment law will help shape workplace best practices across our iconic brands. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on meaningful, varied legal work in a vibrant and collaborative in-house environment - with scope to expand as capacity allows.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with the People & Culture team to lead on the Group’s response to the Employment Rights Bill.
  • Manage Employment Tribunal claims in-house through to hearing, including drafting, advocacy, and negotiation.
  • Advise across the full spectrum of employment law matters; from senior terminations to TUPE, industrial action, and employee relations.
  • Update and advise leadership on legal developments, supporting training, policies, and compliance initiatives.
  • Liaise with and manage external counsel where appropriate.
  • Support on adjacent legal matters including pensions, immigration, and other disputes and litigation across the Group.
  • If time allows, contribute to commercial legal work with appropriate training and support.
  • Engage broadly with the business, offering practical, solution-focused advice.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified solicitor licensed to practice in England & Wales.
  • A broad spectrum of specialist employment experience required.
  • Solid grounding in employment law with strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to build trust and communicate legal issues clearly across all levels of the business.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves on a diverse range of legal work.
  • Experience managing or instructing external counsel a plus.
