As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Furniture Buyer to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.
About the role:
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Furniture Buyer to manage our customer offer. You will work closely with the Head of Buying to enhance The Rangeβs offering, developing relationships with new and existing suppliers whilst ensuring maximum value and efficiency for the business.
Responsibilities:
- You will have primary accountability for maximizing sales, margin & profitability in this fast moving and diverse category.
- You will lead a team building long term supplier relationships to deliver a successful product offer.
- You will have ultimate responsibility for the implementation of the product strategy and ensuring that the business meets with customer needs.
- You will monitor & review competitor information to ensure your product offering stays relevant in a changing market.
- You will play a lead role in range reviews, supplier negotiations, promotions & pricing.
- You will work with your cross-functional team to ensure we deliver great product availability and quality.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- You need to have experience of buying.
- Experience within the furniture industry.
- Strong, demonstrable awareness of new and upcoming trends.
- Have developed an excellent understanding of the consumer and of the marketplace.
- Have the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Have developed first rate strategic and analytical thinking skills.
