As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic Financial Accounting Manager to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.
About the Role:
This is a high-impact role suited to a technically strong and commercially aware finance professional. You will support the Senior Financial Accounting Manager and CFO in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory and tax obligations, and driving process improvements across the finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare group and company financial statements under IFRS and FRS.
- Support audit and tax affairs, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Manage statutory obligations including Corporation Tax, VAT, import duty, Transfer Pricing, and Intrastat.
- Advise senior leadership on regulatory and tax changes.
- Assist in producing and reviewing monthly management accounts.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling.
- Deliver insightful analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate to modernize and streamline financial processes.
- Act as a finance business partner to key departments.
- Manage lease accounting software and ensure compliance with standards.
Person Specification:
- Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with 1–2 years PQE.
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting consolidations.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and process implementation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with precision.
- Experience in lease accounting and property finance.
- Exposure to high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with financial software and automation tools.
