Position
Assistant Loss Prevention Manager
This role covers stores in and around the south central coast region (mainly Hampshire, Dorset and Devon) with occasional travel further afield. Reporting to a Regional LP Manager, you will work with retail Area Managers and Store Managers to reduce stock loss and improve profitability, and support colleagues with Loss Prevention training and awareness. You will lead a team of covert and uniform security personnel, deliver training and development, and ensure effective deployment to high-risk stores to identify and apprehend offenders while maintaining professionalism in conflict situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching, insight, and advice to store colleagues, store managers and Area Managers to support them in achieving stock loss targets.
- Travel to and spend time in focus stores proportionate to the stock loss risk they represent.
- Conduct store LP Health Checks to support process compliance and improvements.
- Provide store managers and other partners with data insight to help them understand opportunities.
- Support Regional LP Managers, Area Managers and stores with theft incidents, major incidents and investigations as needed.
- Identify, deter, detain, and deal with shoplifting offenders in a safe and professional manner.
- Perform surveillance operations across the retail / distribution network.
- Recruit, line manage, train, and develop Store Detectives and Uniform Officers within own area and support other areas as needed.
- Generate detailed incident reports and collate evidence to support criminal prosecutions.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Attend and support new store set-ups and openings.

Requirements
- Full-time permanent contract, 44 hours per week.
- Must be fully flexible working 5 days out of 7 (early/late/weekend essential to the role).
- Full driving licence with own reliable transport (REQUIRED).
- Paid mileage and travel time.
- 28 days holidays (inclusive of public holidays).
