Graduate Hotels is seeking an Sales & Events Executive to join The Randolph Hote l and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts!
The landmark 151-bedroom Randolph Hotel in Oxford is part of the Graduate Hotels collection.
The boutique hotel takes inspiration from the prestigious Oxford University, with nods to college architecture and crests, as well as "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," created by alumnus Lewis Carroll.
THE ROLE As a Sales & Events Executive , you will be responsible for handlining events from start to finish, ensuring that our clients receive outstanding service.
You will be responsible for quoting, responding to incoming inquiries, sending out proposals, issuing contracts, conducting property show rounds, creating BEO function sheets and following up with the client post-event, with a focus on repeat business.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive and follow up on event enquiries in a timely manner.
Deliver show rounds whilst telling the hotel stories to clients.
Conduct detailed and organised appointments.
Create detailed BEO function sheets for all functions & events, and issue them on a weekly basis.
When required, join the weekly function sheet meetings with all departments.
Managing a busy email inbox and appointment diary.
Liaise & build good working relationships with all departments and external suppliers.
Maximise sales & revenue by converting business and up-selling.
Smooth operation & organisation of events from enquiry to planning, through to handing over to the operational team.
Post-event, post extra charges if required and conduct client follow-up to obtain feedback and encourage repeat business.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU An outgoing and confident personality with the ability to work independently as well as part of a busy sales team.
Be standards-driven and detail-orientated with the ability to organise and plan ahead.
Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge of Delphi & On Q (desirable).
Strong problem-solving skills with a positive can-do attitude.
You can adapt to all situation types, keeping calm and collected.
Computer skills.
