About the role:

Following the retirement of the current postholder, The Trust is looking to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated Deputy Headteacher. We invite applications from professionals with vision and drive to inspire and lead on the strategic development of aspects of Inclusion, Safeguarding, Behaviour & Attendance within the school.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to be responsible for the implementation of key strategies and policies to secure continued school improvement. We are looking for someone who puts students first, proactively focuses on the development, sharing and monitoring of best practice to help across the school.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent, inspiring leader with a proven track record of strong student progress, and with a passion to make a difference for all our students. The role involves working closely with the senior leadership team (including Assistant Headteachers x 3, Deputy Headteacher and Head of School) to lead and be accountable for key aspects identified in the job description such as (but not exhaustive):

  • Safeguarding - DSL (including PREVENT and Online Safety).
  • Behaviour (strategic overview).
  • Admissions / Mid-Year Admissions / Appeals.
  • Events - Open Evening.
  • Medical Strategic Lead.
  • Family (Parent/Carer) Voice.
  • Strategic EVC.

The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for all staff, families and relevant stakeholders, and organisational skills are key. They will be actively encouraged and supported to engage with high quality CPD as part of this role.
