We’re looking for a confident, energetic and community-minded Bar Supervisor to join the team at The Railway Inn, Billinghurst. The Railway Inn is a recently refurbished, busy, drink-led community pub at the heart of the local area, known for live sport, live music, pool, darts, lively weekends and a fantastic garden atmosphere. The pub combines traditional community values with a fun, fast-paced environment.
This role would suit somebody who genuinely enjoys pubs, people and creating a great atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, comfortable leading shifts independently and thrives in a busy venue with 3+ years experience in a pub/bar role.
What we’re looking for:
- 3 years + Previous bar or supervisory experience in a busy pub or bar
- Friendly, approachable and community-focused personality
- Interest in sport and live entertainment culture
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
- Ability to stay calm and organised during busy weekend periods
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, motivated and hands-on approach
The role will include:
- Running shifts and supporting day-to-day operations
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Opening and closing the venue
- Supporting events, live music and sports nights
- Maintaining standards across the pub
