The Role
We’re looking for an Account Director with strong B2B and technology sector experience to lead key client relationships and manage a team delivering results for our clients. This is a senior position combining strategic vision, commercial acumen, and leadership. You’ll act as the primary point of contact for key clients, overseeing campaign planning and execution from high-growth startups to established enterprise tech brands, nurturing relationships, and ensuring alignment between client objectives and agency capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to market complex products and services to niche audiences, can confidently lead client services and creative teams, and is proactive about identifying new business opportunities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as the main liaison between B2B and tech clients and the agency, fostering strong professional relationships with marketing leaders and stakeholders
- Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels
- Translate business objectives (e.g. lead generation, pipeline growth, brand awareness) into actionable campaign strategies
- Provide strategic recommendations grounded in media performance and market insights
- Lead end-to-end delivery of integrated campaigns targeting specific audiences (e.g. CIOs, CTOs, procurement teams)
- Lead the development and management of multi-channel marketing plans (LinkedIn, programmatic, paid search, content syndication, industry publications)
- Align messaging with different stages of the B2B buyer journey
- Commercial Growth
- Prepare and manage account budgets, forecasts, and reporting, owning account profitability and revenue growth
- Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth, including upselling additional services (e.g. ABM, content, strategy) and expanding client portfolios
- Contribute to and lead new business pitches, particularly within the tech sector
- Manage and mentor account managers and junior staff, facilitating professional growth and collaboration
- Collaborate closely with media, strategy, and creative teams
- Ensure best practices in B2B marketing are shared across the agency
- Quality & Client Satisfaction
- Ensure all client communications, presentations, and deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client industries, market trends, and competitive landscapes
- Resolve client issues promptly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and retention
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in an agency environment, ideally within B2B or technology marketing, including senior client-facing experience
- Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies
- Proven track record leading integrated marketing campaigns and managing account teams
- Proven understanding of B2B marketing funnels and long sales cycles
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ownership of account budgets, forecasts, and profitability
- Experience managing and mentoring account managers or junior team members
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and contributing to new business pitches
