An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the R&A’s Golf IT! Team in Glasgow. Lead the day-to-day operation of our vibrant, dynamic community driven golf facility, ensuring every activity, space and player interaction runs smoothly. Drive high performance by coaching and empowering our supervisory team to deliver exceptional service and strong commercial results. Own people and equipment resourcing, keeping standards high and operations efficient. Act as the go-to problem solver for player and operational issues, resolving challenges quickly and escalating only when needed. Champion ongoing training and development so supervisors excel and consistently raise the player experience across the range.
This is a full-time, on-site position, working 35 hours per week, based in Glasgow. Please note, we may close applications early should we receive sufficient applications.

Who We Are Looking For
- Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3 qualification or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Proficient in application golf-specific software and technology.
- Proven track record of effectively leading teams to achieve player (customer) and financial success.
- Knowledge of golf course operations, retail management and event planning.
About Golf IT: The R&A’s purpose is to make golf more accessible, appealing and inclusive and to ensure it is thriving 50 years from now and Golf It! plays a huge part of that ambition. Golf It! is The R&A’s first golf facility which opened in Glasgow in August 2023, creating a new “pathway to golf” that is open and accessible focusing on delivering fun and being community and family orientated. The venue, located in the northeast of Glasgow, attracts a new audience to the game, making people challenge everything they thought they knew about golf, inspiring future generations to say, ‘I love playing golf’.
Golf It! is accessible to people from all walks of life. It has a 9 Hole Golf Course, a 52 Bay two-tiered Driving Range, 3 Adventure Golf Courses, Park Golf, Simulators and many more activities. There is a street food outlet, provided by Big Feed Street Food, an onsite Nursery operated by Lullaby Lane and three Padel Tennis Courts operated by Game4Padel. Coaching facilities include Toptracer technology in every bay of the Driving Range, as well as Trackman in our Golf It! simulator.
