<div><h2>Job Responsibilities</h2> <p>The post holder will work as a General Practitioner at Queensway Surgery, providing safe, effective, and compassionate general medical services to registered and temporary patients.

The role includes delivering a full range of primary care services in line with NHS contractual requirements, GMC standards, and practice protocols.</p> <p>Key responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver face‑to‑face and telephone consultations, ensuring high standards of clinical care and a patient‑centred experience.</li> <li>Manage a varied clinical caseload, including acute presentations, chronic disease management, preventive care, and minor illness or injury.</li> <li>Handle clinical administration promptly, including referrals, prescriptions, repeat prescriptions, results management, and correspondence.</li> <li>Maintain accurate, contemporaneous patient records in line with GMC and practice expectations.</li> <li>Participate in duty doctor and triage sessions as required.</li> <li>Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe, efficient patient care.</li> <li>Contribute to clinical meetings, audits, safeguarding, and quality improvement activities.</li> </ul> <h2>Professional Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Maintain GMC registration and comply with appraisal and revalidation requirements.</li> <li>Work in accordance with practice policies, protocols, and NHS standards.</li> <li>Engage in continuing professional development.</li> <li>Promote safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>GMC registered GP with licence to practise.</li> <li>Inclusion on NHS England Performers List.</li> <li>Additional postgraduate qualifications relevant to primary care.</li> </ul> <h2>Experience</h2> <ul> <li>Experience working as a GP in primary care.</li> <li>Experience managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.</li> <li>Safe prescribing and clinical decision‑making in general practice.</li> <li>Experience in a multidisciplinary or PCN setting.</li> <li>Experience with audits or service development.</li> <li>Experience working with Systm One.</li> <li>Experience working with triage systems such as Anima.</li> </ul> <h2>About us</h2> <p>Queensway Surgery is a large, well‑established GP practice based in Southend‑on‑Sea, serving approximately 20,000 patients.
