We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant and Michelin Key Hotel in Bath. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a renowned culinary establishment, supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant while maintaining exceptional standards of service and food quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the management team in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience. A strong background in hospitality, culinary arts, and team leadership is essential for this position.

Duties

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service
  • Supervise and support front-of-house and kitchen staff, including serving, food preparation, and culinary teams
  • Oversee food safety procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, presentation, and quality control
  • Contribute to staff training programmes, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly to uphold the restaurant's reputation
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels
  • Support event planning and special occasion arrangements as required
  • Uphold hospitality standards by providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
  • Experience in culinary arts or food production is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of hotel or barista operations is advantageous
