The Queen’s Head is one of Chickpea’s much-loved village pubs — a place where warm welcomes, great food and attention to the little things make guests want to come back again and again.
We’re looking for a Floor Manager to join Joe and Alice to play a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality while helping lead and develop the team.
Why this is different
This is a role for someone who wants to lead from the front. Working alongside Joe and Alice, you’ll be an important part of the management team — helping to set the standard, support the team and make sure every guest receives the kind of hospitality we’re proud of. We’re looking for someone who genuinely lives the Chickpea values. Someone who notices the small things, cares about their team, takes ownership and understands that great hospitality starts with great people. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, take on more responsibility and progress your career within Chickpea.
What you’ll do
- Lead the floor and set the standard for brilliant hospitality
- Make every guest feel welcome, valued and looked after
- Support Joe and Alice with the day-to-day running of the pub
- Coach, support and develop the Front of House team
- Help create a positive, energetic and supportive team culture
- Lead by example and demonstrate Chickpea’s values every day
- Notice the small things and take action before they become big things
- Take ownership of service and help the team deliver consistently high standards
- Support with training, inductions and developing future leaders
- Take responsibility for the pub when required
What we’re looking for
- A natural leader who enjoys bringing the best out of people
- Someone who genuinely cares about hospitality and the guest experience
- A confident communicator who can inspire and support a team
- Someone who leads by example and isn’t afraid to get stuck in
- A person who takes ownership and follows things through
- Someone who lives the Chickpea values rather than simply knowing them
- Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred, but attitude, ambition and leadership potential matter just as much
What you’ll get
- Every penny of service charge shared fairly across the whole team
- 50% off food at all Chickpea pubs for you and up to five guests
- Clear progression pathways within Chickpea
- Ongoing leadership and hospitality training
- Coaching and mentoring from Joe and Alice
- The opportunity to develop your management skills and take on greater responsibility
- A supportive team that celebrates success together
- The chance to build a genuine long-term career with a growing hospitality group
If you’re ready to take the next step in your hospitality career, want to lead a brilliant team and have the ambition to progress, we’d love to hear from you.
