The Queen's Club is a world-renowned private Members rackets club in south west London. Host to the international annual HSBC Championships, the Club is complemented by a refurbished Club House Restaurant along with private rooms for hospitality. The Club invites applications from accomplished and highly motivated individuals to join our distinguished Events team as an Events Executive. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class experiences within one of London’s most prestigious private members’ clubs.

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates impeccable attention to detail, a passion for refined hospitality, and the ability to curate memorable occasions that reflect the Club’s heritage of excellence.

Purpose: To deliver exceptional meeting, event and social events in a professional and friendly manner, striving to be the most preferred venue for members and guests while working towards The Queen’s Club Championships in June and coordinating summer Sporting Days.

Working in a highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly team to the standards required that help, support and build the reputation of The Queen’s Club.

  • Manage a highly professional and friendly meeting and event planning service across the Club supporting high standards and first-class hospitality service.
  • Responsible for managing the Meetings, Events & Social Event Calendar, driving it forward throughout the year whilst proposing new and innovative events and revenue generation initiatives.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date understanding of all Club House and Club events/functions.
  • Be responsible for Event Communications including internal function sheets, website copy, member events calendar & external emails.
  • Communicate directly with the hosts of functions; checking details and providing accurate information to all departments.
  • Assist with set-up and general admin on the day of an event; printing off guest lists, menus, allergen information, place names, liaising with suppliers and maintaining communication with the kitchen and F&B team.
  • Greet members and ensure the event is going to plan on the day/evening of certain events.
  • Communicate effectively with the Kitchen through regular contact in the planning and preparation of meetings and functions.
  • Provide knowledge of wine and spirits with recommendations to match menu items and Member/guest preferences.
  • Become confident with the Jonas & JAM database system; including setting up events, charging members for tickets, booking rooms, creating financial targets, working to budgets, invoicing for private functions.
  • Respond to emails/phone calls from Members, assessing their needs and adapting service style appropriately.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Events Manager.
  • Lead and innovate the staff social event calendar, ensuring numerous staff social events per year.
  • Be aware of and attain financial targets, annual budget and cost of sales margins.
  • Ensure all food and beverage served is charged at the end of the event.

The Queen’s Club Championships

  • Support the Tournament and Events Department with Member Tournament Ticketing launch.
  • Assist in answering Member queries from December through to June, providing a friendly, accurate and highly responsive service.
  • Support the team with tasks relating to the set up and delivery of the Championships, particularly being responsible for the Staff Accreditation process.
  • Other duties include Hospitality sales, Guest badge ballot and allocation, Digital ticketing, Charging/refunding tickets, Managing waiting lists, Assisting with Members’ Enclosure design, Members’ Championships Party.
  • Be available to work during the month of June, including qualifying weekend.

Safeguarding, Child Protection and Health and Safety

  • Follow the Queen’s Club safeguarding policy and procedures at all times; be vigilant on all matters of child and adults at risk protection.
  • Work within statutory health and safety requirements and report any issues of maintenance and health and safety to the Manager on duty/Maintenance Manager.
  • Work safely at all times adhering to Manual Handling Regulations.

General Requirements

  • Undertake projects and complete objectives as required by your Manager.
  • Assist Management to maintain a high-quality service to Members and guests at all times.
  • Assist colleagues across the Club where possible and when asked by your Manager.
  • Help control costs wherever possible.
  • Attend training and internal meetings as required.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene adhering to the club grooming and dress code policy.
  • Conduct all aspects of your work and behaviour in line with the values of The Queen’s Club.
