The Queen's Club is a world-renowned private members’ club in south-west London. Host to the international annual HSBC Championships, it features a refurbished Club House Restaurant and private rooms for hospitality. We invite applications for the Events Executive position to contribute to world‑class experiences within one of London’s most prestigious private members’ clubs. The role requires impeccable attention to detail, passion for refined hospitality, and a talent for curating memorable occasions that reflect the Club’s heritage of excellence.

Purpose

Deliver exceptional meeting, event and social events in a professional and friendly manner, aiming to be the most preferred venue for members and guests while supporting The Queen’s Club Championships in June and coordinating summer Sporting Days.

Meetings, Events & Social Events

  • Provide a professional and friendly meeting and event planning service across the club.
  • Manage the Meetings, Events & Social Event Calendar, propose new events, generate revenue, and maintain favorite social events.
  • Handle event communications: internal function sheets, website copy, member event calendar, and external emails; communicate directly with hosts.
  • On event days, assist with set‑up, general admin, printing guest lists and menus, liaise with suppliers, kitchen and F&B team, and greet members.
  • Work with the Kitchen to plan and prepare meetings and functions.
  • Provide knowledgeable wine and spirits recommendations.
  • Use the Jonas & JAM database system to set up events, make them live/bookable, charge members, book rooms, create financial targets, work to budgets, and invoice for private functions.
  • Respond immediately to member emails/phone calls, assessing needs and adapting service style.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Events Manager.
  • Lead and innovate the staff social event calendar with multiple events each year.
  • Achieve financial targets, annual budgets, and cost‑of‑sales margins; ensure all food and beverage served is charged.

The Queen’s Club Championships Tournament Requirements

  • Support the Tournament and Events Department with member tournament ticketing launch and understand all tournament ticketing rules for members.
  • Answer member queries continuously from December to June, providing accurate, responsive service via office, phone or email.

Tournament Administration

  • Hospitality sales

  • Assisting with members’ enclosure design

Members’ Championships Party

During the two‑week Championships in June, including the qualifying weekend, you will deputise and lead the tournament & events team and be onsite for long hours.

Safeguarding, Child Protection and Health and Safety

  • Follow the Queen’s Club safeguarding policy and procedures at all times; protect children and adults at risk.
  • Work within statutory health and safety requirements and report issues to the Manager on duty or Maintenance Manager.
  • Use manual handling regulations safely.

General Requirements

  • Undertake projects and complete objectives as required by your manager.
  • Assist management to maintain high‑quality service for members and guests, ensuring service sequences and standards are met.
  • Support colleagues across the club when asked by your manager.
  • Control costs whenever possible.
  • Attend training and internal meetings as required.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene in line with the club grooming and dress code.
  • Conduct all work and behaviour in line with the Queen’s Club values.
