We are searching for a committed, dynamic and enthusiastic Nurse with paediatric/neonatal specialist experience to join our Quality and Safety team.

Main duties of the jobPlay an important role within the Women and Children\’s Divisional Quality and Safety team, in delivering the Quality and Safety agenda in accordance with local and national policy.

Be involved in management of clinical risk within paediatrics and neonatal areas.

Ensure that clinical and non‐clinical incidents are identified, reported and investigated, triggering actions and sharing learning to prevent future harm.

Be responsible for coordinating the paediatric speciality annual audit plan.

Participate in divisional meetings as a representative of paediatrics to ensure monitoring and development of the quality and safety agenda.

Be the oversight for paediatric and neonatal policies and guidelines, ensuring they remain in date and fit for purpose.

Be the paediatric/neonatal link for the development and implementation of quality improvement projects within the Women and Children\’s Division.

Work alongside the Practice Development teams to ensure training and education aligns to local and national policy.

Demonstrate up‐to‐date professional competence and knowledge.

Person SpecificationQualifications/training and professional development

Registered Nurse/Registered Children\’s Nurse

Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience

Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification

Qualified in Speciality (Neonatal)

Post‐Registration Qualification in Governance/Quality Improvement related subject (e.g. QSIR)

Evidence of PSIRF methodologies training

Experience

Evidence of a minimum 3‐years post‐registration clinical experience in a paediatric or neonatal setting

Experience of participation in clinical audit

Experience of the development/review of policies and guidelines

Experience of the development and implementation of quality improvement projects

Experience of clinical incident investigation

Skills, abilities and competencies

Ability to work as part of a team

Confident and calm attitude with an ability to work under pressure

Good organisational & team building skills

Experience of managing multi‐disciplinary incident review/feedback meetings
