NJC Point: 15-21 £25,823 - £28,506 (actual) per annum
37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

About the role:

The Assistant Head of Year establishes positive relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies in line with the school's vision and values. Supporting the Head of Year, this role includes leading and implementing high quality pastoral and safeguarding support, ensuring high attendance, identifying behavioural issues and finding strategies to intervene. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold literacy and numeracy to GCSE C/4+ or equivalent. To succeed, you will have previous experience of working in a secondary school setting, experience of working with children and families and be able to communicate with a wide range of professionals.
