About the role
The Queen Elizabeth Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated part time Teaching Assistant, who will work well as part of a team who truly want the best from our students. If you enjoy working with young people and would like to help them prepare for their future working lives, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the learning support team, you will work under the guidance/instruction of designated teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area under the guidance of teaching staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE grade c/4 or above and have previous experience of working with children. You will have the ability to multitask, have good organisation and time management skills and have effective oral and written communication skills. We welcome applications from ambitious candidates, keen to make a difference who have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student. The successful applicant will undertake an enhanced DBS criminal record check, and online searches will be carried out in line with KCSIE update 2025. We are open to Flexible Working.
