Quarto is seeking a Special Sales Executive to join the fast-paced Special Sales team. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and organised Special Sales Assistant/UK Sales Assistant looking to progress in Sales. Quarto creates inspiring books for adults and children published across the globe.
As the Special Sales Executive, reporting to the Head of Special Sales, you will manage and grow sales across the adult and children’s publishing lists into Special Sales retailers, from major wholesalers to select key high street accounts and specialist retailers.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: From £28,000, depending on experience
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09.30 am to 5.30 pm. This role does include select weekends in line with trade show schedules. We currently operate a discretionary hybrid model, with three days in our London office and two working from home.
About the role: You’ll join a focused Special Sales team, taking on a mixture of high street and wholesale accounts and driving sales across the Quarto list. You’ll collaborate across departments, develop new business initiatives, and become a key member of the UK Sales team.
What you will be involved in:
- Maintain budgeted customer accounts, maximising sales opportunities
- Provide market insight on acquisitions, sales, selections and promotional opportunities
- Target new business
- Collaborate across both UK and US stakeholders
- Attend key gifting trade shows, increasing profitability
- Maintain customer requirements in a timely manner, from stock to sales materials
- Administrative support for the Head of Special Sales
About you: You’ll bring at least one year’s experience within Sales, and a desire to grow and learn within the Special Sales department. You’ll excel in a busy environment, where initiative and proactivity is vital, alongside having a keen eye for detail and a confident approach to sales. You will be able to show you have:
- Organisational and prioritisation skills
- Customer relationship skills and market awareness
- Excellent interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Strong presentation, database and spreadsheet analysis
- Detailed logistics understanding
