The Quarter Jack Surgery, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 1AP is looking for a 2 to 4 session salaried GP to join our friendly team on a temporary basis until April 2027. Flexible hours/days to suit. Rate of pay dependent on experience. Frailty experience or interest would be welcome but not essential.
Main duties of the job:
- Highly regarded, reputable and innovative practice with 18,000 patients
- 8 partners, 2 salaried doctors, 1 retainer
- Purpose-built practice building located in the centre of Wimborne
- Training practice - 3 registrars and a medical student currently in post
- Highly skilled nursing team including chronic disease nurses specialising in cardiac, respiratory disease and diabetes based at our nurse-led clinic at our other surgery
- District nurses on site
- In-house frailty team
- Designated prescribing team resulting in low levels of prescribing administration
- Access to wider PCN team including paramedics, MSK practitioners, social prescribers, mental health worker and community pharmacists
- Large friendly administrative team
- Consistently healthy accounts
- Personal list system of care
- Interest in schools medicine with practice providing medical cover
- Opportunities for additional sessions with our pro-active Wimborne and Ferndown Primary Care Network (PCN) comprising 4 practices
- Likelihood that the position can be extended as of April 2027
