Responsibilities
- Heading a full resort property chef brigade, you will be an expert in leadership and delegation covering the full range of an Executive Head Chef's repertoire.
- You will be an excellent chef able to prepare, cook and deliver an international range of cuisine to the modern diverse palate.
- For some, the delivery will be fine dining; to others, contemporary, celebratory or simply great food served simply.
- Lead by example and by hands-on experience, showing the next generation of chefs what great cooking is in every corner of the kitchen.
- Have impeccable standards as well as a thorough knowledge of food safety and health and safety to ensure compliance remains best in class.
- Be great at kitchen administration and able to meet VIPs and clients to help organise catering for blue ribbon companies, signature banquets and fairytale weddings.
- An ambassador for the property as well as the person everyone looks up to in the resort for cooking excellence with the ability to seamlessly manage your time to best effect for the business.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Executive Head Chef of a Resort Property
- Have worked in a hotel environment or in a busy, high-volume operation
- Conference, banqueting, weddings & events catering experience is essential
- Quality & standards driven with a keen eye for detail
- People management experience
- Strong knowledge of GP, stock control, costs and wastage
