We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baker to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This dynamic role involves preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will bring creativity and precision to the baking process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, baking, and kitchen experience.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of cakes, savoury items and specialty items
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing doughs, and assembling baked products
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area in compliance with food safety regulations, including closing down the kitchen at the end of the day
- Portion and box traybakes, packaging orders for wholesale and retail customers
- Bake and decorate celebration cakes and Wedding Cakes, attending venues to deliver
- Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards to guarantee product quality and customer safety
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of supplies needed
