The Role
You’ll deliver engaging, practical training in cycle maintenance and repair up to Level 2, helping learners develop industry‑relevant skills in a workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver hands‑on cycle mechanics training aligned with recognised qualifications.
- Create engaging lesson plans and schemes of work that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Support individual learning plans, identifying and addressing additional needs.

What We’re Looking For
- You don’t have to be a qualified teacher yet—we’ll support you to get there.
- At least 2 years’ experience in cycle mechanics, bike repair, or a related field.
- Qualification in cycle mechanics, engineering, or similar (Level 2+).
- Strong practical skills in diagnostics, servicing, and repair.
- A willingness to gain a teaching qualification within 6 months.
- Commitment to achieving assessor and subject‑specific qualifications.
- Good communication skills and ability to engage learners positively.
- Basic literacy and numeracy (Level 1 or willingness to achieve).
- Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
- Teaching or assessing qualifications (AET, TAQA, etc.).
- Experience delivering training or working with diverse learners.
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
