We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sports Duty Officer to join a busy Further Education College in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for sport and fitness to play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a well-used sports centre. This position involves working on a rota, with a strong focus on evening and weekend shifts, ensuring facilities operate smoothly and safely at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the sports centre during your shift
- Manage bookings, activities, and facility schedules
- Open and close the site securely as a key holder
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, including routine checks and risk assessments
- Support and supervise staff, providing guidance where needed
- Deliver excellent customer service and respond to enquiries or issues
- Assist with setting up and clearing away equipment for activities and events
- Respond to incidents and provide first aid where required
About You
- Experience working in a sports, leisure, or fitness environment
