Salary: GBP28 - GBP32 per hour

Interim Payroll Manager

Location: Hull

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (pro rata)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Start Date: 15th July

Contract: Interim (8 weeks initially, with potential for extension)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Oversee payroll administration, including statutory deductions and pension contributions.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice.
  • Resolve payroll queries from employees promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and produce relevant reports.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll information is up to date.

Requirements

  • Have previous experience managing payroll, ideally within an education or public sector setting.
  • Have strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes.
  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
