Streetworks/Groundworks Tutor - Prison Education
The Role
- We are seeking an experienced
- Streetworks/Groundworks Tutor to join the education team at
HMP Highpoint .
Working on-site within the prison, you will deliver Streetworks and Groundworks qualifications up to Level 2, supporting learners to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress into employment upon release.
You will work with small groups of adult learners, creating engaging and supportive learning environments that encourage achievement, personal development and positive outcomes.
You will also provide advice, guidance and ongoing support to help learners reach their full potential and achieve their long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Streetworks and Groundworks qualifications up to Level 2.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Provide advice, guidance and support throughout the learner journey.
- Create a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
- Support learners in developing practical skills and industry knowledge.
- Ensure training plans, assessments and learner reviews are completed to a high standard.
What We're Looking For
- Significant vocational experience within Streetworks, Groundworks or a related sector.
- Experience delivering vocational training, coaching or mentoring. A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable.
- The ability to use a variety of training and engagement methods to support learners.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for helping others achieve their goals and progress into employment.
