I’m currently working with a college that’s looking to bring in an Engineering Lecturer to join their team. It’s a great opportunity for someone from either an education or industry background who’s keen to pass on their knowledge and support the next generation.
The role involves delivering a mix of theoretical and practical engineering teaching across Levels 2–5 (including T-Levels). The focus is around core areas such as:
- Electrical & electronic principles
- Circuit building, testing and fault finding
You’ll also be responsible for tracking learner progress, carrying out assessments, and helping maintain strong achievement rates.
What they’re looking for:
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar) or solid industry experience
- Maths & English at Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Teaching qualification is ideal, but not essential — they’ll support you in gaining this
- Someone confident with both hands-on and classroom delivery
- Basic IT skills and ability to support remote learning when needed
