We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This role requires proficiency with various accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping using Xero
- Process purchase invoices and receipts via Dext
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and accruals
- Support month-end close and provide financial reports
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors
- Assist with cash flow tracking and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
- Keep financial records organised and audit-ready
About You
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (ideally in FMCG, manufacturing, or retail)
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and Dext
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Organised, proactive, and dependable
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Confident communicating with both internal teams and external partners
- UK bookkeeping and VAT experience essential
