Overview
At Protech Group, we don’t just build and maintain systems — we keep workplaces safe, people protected, and standards high. From installations and maintenance to complex engineering projects across the UK, our teams take pride in doing things properly. And safety, quality, and care are at the heart of it all.
We’re looking for an HSEQ Officer — someone who lives and breathes safety, understands what good looks like on site, and knows how to make it part of everyday working life. You’ll be the approachable expert who helps our teams stay safe, compliant, and confident in what they do.
What the role’s about
As part of our Health, Safety, Environment & Quality team, you’ll be out in the field — visiting sites, checking standards, and supporting our engineers, managers, and clients to make sure everything we do meets the highest expectations.
You’ll lead by example — running toolbox talks, delivering training, and promoting a safety culture built on respect and accountability. You’ll carry out audits, inspections, and risk assessments, then turn what you find into clear, practical improvements.
From incident investigations to ISO audits, from environmental checks to engagement campaigns — you’ll be the link that turns policy into practice and good intentions into action.
Responsibilities
- Lead toolbox talks, deliver safety training, and promote a safety culture built on respect and accountability.
- Carry out audits, inspections, and risk assessments; translate findings into practical improvements.
- Contribute to incident investigations and ISO audits; engage with environmental checks and campaigns.
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and clients to ensure work meets highest safety and quality standards.
What you’ll bring
- Around 2+ years’ experience in a health, safety, or quality role — ideally within HVAC, M&E, or construction.
- Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation, CDM, and ISO standards.
- Confidence in conducting audits, investigations, and delivering training.
- A full UK driving licence — and the willingness to travel between sites when needed.
What success looks like
- Safer sites.
- Informed teams.
- Strong relationships.
- A company that’s proud to keep raising the bar — because of people like you.
