This SEN Teaching Assistant position starts as soon as you are available, and you don’t need to have qualifications to apply – induction and training will be provided.

Many Primary and Secondary schools are seeking cover for both daily and long-term assignments. If you feel passionately about transforming the lives of young people and are a flexible and creative thinker who can maximise pupil engagement, this could be the perfect role for you.

Within the role you will be required to:

  • Support and enthuse children and young people to achieve their academic goals, develop their life skills and passion for independence

  • Understand pupil motivations and use these to engage learning opportunities

  • Create a learning environment in which the students will feel safe, secure and fully included

  • Deliver planned guided work in line with the requirements of a bespoke curriculum

  • Supporting the class teacher to deliver the curriculum

The best applicants for this role will be passionate about delivering an outstanding level of support to the pupils and will possess the following attributes:

  • Have a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude

  • SEN experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given. An understanding of special educational needs and disabilities would be advantageous.
