Residential Support Worker | Southampton and Surrounding Areas | Day and Night Shifts Available | £12.83 – £16.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers to provide invaluable support to a variety of services across Southampton and the surrounding areas. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with complex needs, including emotional, behavioural, and learning disabilities.

About the Role

  • Provide general and 1:1 support for children and young people.

  • Facilitate community-based activities, helping to create enjoyable and fulfilling experiences.

  • Support individuals with learning disabilities and behavioural challenges to live positive and rewarding lives.

  • Promote safety, wellbeing, and development through tailored care and support.

  • Experience working in a care or support environment.

  • Up-to-date mandatory training, including Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Infection Prevention, Equality & Diversity, and Autism training (available free through Prospero Health & Social Care).

  • Safeguarding training (can be provided free of charge).

  • A Health and Social Care Level 2 or 3 qualification (desirable but not essential).

Essential Criteria

  • The Right to Work in the UK.

  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the online update service, or willingness to apply for one.

  • Two professional care-related references.

  • Free, accredited professional development, including safeguarding and mandatory training.

  • Access to our dedicated in-house Training and Development Team.

  • Ongoing opportunities for flexible, rewarding work with a leading care agency.
