The Role:

Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage positively in their learning.

Assist in creating a safe, supportive environment where students can regulate their behaviour and thrive.

Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development, encouraging personal growth.

Build trust-based relationships through shared interests, such as sports, gaming, music, fitness, outdoor activities, horse riding, or sailing.

A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.

Strong communication skills and the ability to form meaningful, positive relationships with students.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

A commitment to professional development and ongoing learning., * Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.

GCSEs in English and Maths.

A minimum of 1 year’s experience working with children.

Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year (or a willingness to complete).
Eligibility Requirements:

Right to Work in the UK.

Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to process a new one).

Two professional references, ideally related to working with children.
