About the role

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Planner to join our South Island Planning team in Queenstown. With a strong and stimulating work pipeline ahead, we need an experienced planner to join us on that journey.

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside our planning and property consultants in the Queenstown team.
  • Working for private and council clients throughout Otago and Southland.
  • Resource Consent, Notice of Requirement and Designation applications under the Resource Management Act (RMA) and Fast Track legislation.
  • Preparing planning advice and due diligence.
  • Resource consent processing for local authorities.
  • District plan review and policy services.

About you

We’re looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

  • At least two years’ experience in a planning role (consultancy or local government desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of the RMA and relevant qualification in planning or a related field.
  • Hold or be eligible for NZPI membership.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with members of our established team.
  • The ability to form strong and effective relationships with colleagues and clients.
