US Elite Firm seeks September NQ Associates to join its private equity group in London. The successful NQs would work closely with the associates and partners on a wide spectrum of high-value and sophisticated private equity transactions. The corporate practice at this firm is a dedicated group of lawyers with deep experience in private equity transactions, acting primarily for high profile private equity sponsors and institutional investors on a range of complex, cross-border investments, including leveraged buy-outs, minority investments, carve-outs, special situation transactions and growth and venture capital.
About the Role
This role offers significant client exposure, teamwork on headline deals, and the chance to support global clients on sophisticated private equity transactions.
Responsibilities
- Documentation drafting/assisting with the same, and supporting the transaction team advising private equity sponsors and institutional investors on a range of complex investments, including leveraged buy-outs, minority investments, carve-outs, special situation transactions and growth and venture capital;
- Assisting on transactions regarding capital solutions and complex M&A cross-border transactions;
- Assisting with coordinating with other practices (Real Estate, Tax, Finance, Private Equity) and international offices of the firm to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Due to qualify as a UK solicitor in September 2026.
- Completed a corporate seat for longer than 3 months as part of your training contract.
- Gained good transactional experience in private equity/M&A during your corporate seat.
- Trained at a law firm, where you experienced similar sized transactions for similar type of clients as you would at an elite US firm.
- Determined to qualify as a corporate (PE) lawyer.
- Personable, team player.
- Strong academics desired.
- Strong work ethic and collaborative attitude desired.
Hybrid working - Mon-Thur office, Friday WFH.
