About The Role
- Teach engaging IT lessons across KS3-KS4, covering digital literacy, coding, programming, web design, MS Office, touch typing and KS4 IT user skills.
- Deliver a second subject (PE, Maths or Humanities preferred) based on school needs and your strengths.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of Pupils with SEMH, SEND and EHCPs.
- Use trauma-informed, relational and restorative approaches to support learning and behaviour.
- Assess, track and report on pupil progress to drive achievement.
- Provide daily pastoral support as a Form Tutor, building strong, positive relationships with pupils.
- Monitor attendance, wellbeing and behaviour, and liaise with families and professionals.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to promote emotional regulation, resilience and self-esteem.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture, attend CPD and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.
- Engage with whole-school initiatives and curriculum development.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils
- Strong behaviour management skills rooted in consistency and empathy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Experience teaching PE, Maths or Humanities
- Experience delivering vocational or functional IT qualifications
- Knowledge of trauma-informed or restorative approaches
- Experience as a Form Tutor or in a pastoral role
